Before you ride, it is important to know
the Rules of the Rails:
- It is suggested that you arrive one and one-half
hours before departure. Boarding is approximately 15 minutes prior
to departure, but dependent upon weather conditions.
- Outside food, drinks, ice chests, hard-case coolers, picnic baskets, car
seats and strollers may NOT be brought on board the train.
- At all times, children must be accompanied by an
adult, especially when entering or exiting cars, and on open-air
viewing cars.
- When children ride free, they are expected to remain
in the lap of an adult while seated, or close-at-hand while on an
open-air viewing car.
- Our depot and train cars are non-smoking. Smoking
is allowed only on outdoor patios and on the open-air viewing cars
at Perkinsville while the engines run around the train. Cigar smoking
is not permitted at any time on the train or in the depot.
- Shirts, tops and shoes must be worn at all times
when riding the train.
- Remember to dress appropriately for the season.
Don't forget sunglasses, cameras and sunscreen. Nighttime in
the high desert usually means cooler temperatures.
Have a safe and enjoyable
rail journey!
