From the moment you step aboard the fully-restored vintage train, you are whisked back to a time of luxurious and leisurely train travel. FP7 locomotives, two of only 12 remaining in North America, are the muscle that pulls the renovated consortium of cars. Indoor cars are climate-controlled, have restrooms which may be utilized throughout the trip, and the train meets ADA requirements.

All coaches on the Verde Canyon Railroad are designed expressly for passenger comfort. Adjoining outdoor viewing platforms with shaded canopies liberate you with the sounds and sights of the high desert that characterize the Canyon. Access to open-air cars and narration are elite amenities, making our train experience unlike any other.

Comfortable seating, thoughtful décor and friendly, informative attendants add to the beauty of this remote wilderness without sacrificing the luxury of comfort.

Three types of accommodations make up the Verde Canyon Railroad – caboose, first-class and coach-class.
