HAUNTED PHANTOM TRAIN
October Fright Nights at Verde Canyon Railroad
When you’re dying to tap into everything dreaded, hop aboard Verde Canyon Railroad’s static railcar display where a frightening monster squad will make all your nightmares come true. Screeching train wheels and an oncoming locomotive headlight will greet you as you climb aboard, right before an unexpected elevator drops you into an abyss of phobias including snake dens, spider webs, clowns in closets, monsters under beds, dangling electrified wires and snarling wild animals.
Around every corner of the interior train maze, dimly lit with odd, blinking lights, saturated with eerie noises and infused with an occasional whiff of disgusting, there is a frightful lineup. Not meant for children or those with weak stomachs, you’ll see Dr. Freak’s autopsy room for those still living, sight phantoms of the tracks who materialize and then suddenly evaporate, observe a ghostly custodian cleaning up bloody passenger remains and peek into a beautifully ornate mirror where your own image will become your greatest fear. Those willing to enter Fright Night at Verde Canyon Railroad will have all five senses highly stimulated during this perfectly haunted Halloween ritual.
Join us between the hours of 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays starting on October 8 through Halloween night. No reservations are required for Fright Night, but tickets are discounted when purchasing the Railroad’s popular Ales on Rails patio celebration and train excursion through the scenic Verde Canyon. A light food fare and beverages will be available for purchase.
(Not suggested for young children. Use your own discretion. This is a stationary display and reservations are not required. Tickets can be purchased at train depot. Check the calendar for dates and times of operation.)
