My husband and I recently took the Verde train excursion out of Clarkdale. It was wonderful. The grounds at the train station are pristine, handicap friendly and easy to navigate. Terry, one of the train attendants was so prompt and helpful to obtain a wheelchair for me to use. The 1st class seating was great. Nanette was our attendant, so helpful and friendly. The chairs were comfy, love the copper tops on the small tables. The hors d’ oeuvres were satisfying and plentiful. What a nice touch to have a Champagne toast as we began our ride. It really lifts people spirits and the prickly pear margaritas were popular too. The trains songs were delightful along the ride. We certainly recommend this adventure.
