It’s A Vibrant Green Journey Aboard Verde Canyon Railroad

By March 17th the scenic Verde Canyon has begun the “wearing o’ the green” as its rich riparian Cottonwood and willow forests awaken from their short winter slumber. It is said that everyone is a little bit Irish on St Patrick’s Day, and all ought to wear a bit of green to celebrate the holiday. What better way than to surround yourself in the green of our valley aboard Verde Canyon Railroad?

In celebration of St Paddy’s Day a selection of Irish ales will be available for purchase on the patio and in the café. Raise a glass of Harp or Guinness and toast to St. Patrick. He may have driven the snakes out of Ireland, but he’d have his work cut out for him in Central Arizona!

Since “Verde” means green, after all, named for the river and the riparian corridor it creates. Celebrate springtime, St Paddy and being surrounded by awe-inspiring nature aboard this scenic high desert train, as Arizona’s Longest-Running Nature Show travels its historic high-desert route.

Reservations are recommended. Traveling on tracks carved through a dramatically rugged landscape in 1912, Verde Canyon Railroad is proud to be in its 30th year as an award-winning scenic wilderness train.  Known worldwide as “Arizona’s Longest-Running Nature Show,” Verde Canyon Railroad promises rail passengers exceptional service aboard every journey.
