A New Chapter Begins at Taawaki Inn Resort, and You’re Invited to the Open House Event

Clarkdale, Arizona — [October 1, 2026] — Taawaki Inn has become Taawaki Inn Resort, ushering in an expanded guest experience with new dining, outdoor amenities, luxurious accommodations and more.

On Sunday, Oct. 18, from 3 to 7 p.m., the community is invited to experience the transformation during a casual afternoon of live music, champagne and enjoyment of the property’s new amenities. Guests will be able to discover the new Taawaki Inn Resort at their own pace, and there’s lots to explore.

Guests can step inside an oversized king room or double queen room to experience the Resort’s luxurious accommodations firsthand. Spacious and thoughtfully designed, the rooms combine contemporary comfort with Southwest character, scenic views, original Hopi artwork, pillowtop beds with premium bedding, rainfall showers and other upscale touches.

Guests may also experience Blue Corn Lounge, a lively contemporary tavern serving handcrafted cocktails, local and craft brews, sommelier-selected wines and zero-proof specialties, with a culinary program led by Chef Eden Archer. An upscale bar menu with mouthwatering food fare will be available for purchase.

Nearby, Tsor’ovi Gift Store & Gallery features authentic Native American art, handcrafted items, jewelry, clothing, Southwest-inspired home goods and Taawaki collectibles.

Art is woven throughout the Resort, from a large-scale lobby mural by Hopi artist Duane Koyawena to his hand-painted motifs inside the guest rooms. The Conference & Gallery Center showcases paintings, pottery, carvings, textiles, baskets and other Native American art and antiquities. Throughout the Resort, guests will be able to scan QR codes alongside select pieces to learn more about their stories, artists and cultural significance.

Outside, Taawaki’s expansive covered veranda offers comfortable seating, three fire pits, open-air dining and panoramic views stretching across the Verde Valley. Guests also will get a look at the Resort’s new heated swimming pool and hot tub area, featuring a water-and-fire feature designed to complement the relaxing outdoor setting.

Together, the additions are part of a larger vision to make Taawaki a destination in itself — a place to stay, dine, shop, relax and experience the Verde Valley. The property also offers an inviting setting for corporate meetings, weddings, reunions, birthdays and other private events, with flexible event space, resort accommodations and catering available from the culinary team.

Located near Tuzigoot National Monument and minutes from Verde Canyon Railroad, Taawaki Inn Resort provides a distinctive home base for exploring Clarkdale, Cottonwood, Jerome, Sedona and the surrounding Verde Valley. It’s also a comfortable retreat for locals to relax and enjoy an evening with great food and drink just minutes from home.

During the Oct. 18 event, Taawaki team members will be on property to answer questions and share more about the Resort. The afternoon offers the community an opportunity to experience what’s new at Taawaki Inn Resort while getting a glimpse of what’s still to come, with additional resort amenities and experiences to be announced soon.
